LeEZA supports projects for and with women in Iraq and Turkey. In Europe, we advocate for the rights of asylum seekers and share analyses about Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Sudan and other countries of the region. In addition, LeEZA disseminates a bi-annual newsletter with latest news and analyses of our working focus. The newsletter is free of charge and can be ordered by Email.

All our activities are done in active cooperation with democratic progressive (many times oppositional) stakeholders of these countries.

After starting the support of existing projects in 2002, LeEZA was registered according to Austrian Association Law, in 2003. Our projects are supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADA), the Municipality of Vienna, the World Prayers Day of Austria, the Regional Government of Upper Austria, and privat donations.

For the continuity and expansion of our activities we urgently need your donations.

The following projects can be supported with your donation:

* Women center Khanzad in Northern Iraq
* Information campaigns and international intellectual exchange
* Support for asylum seekers and immigrants in Europe
* Commitment to democracy and human rights in Middle East

The following projects where supported from 2004 till 2009:

* Free communal Radio Dengi Nwe in Halabja (North Iraq)
* Women managed mobile teams in North Iraq which also conduct consultations in the women’s shelter in Suleymaniah
* Activities against female genital mutilation (FGM) in North Iraq
